D&S Renovations does not believe that ‘package pricing’ is in our clients’ best interests. Instead of selling you a base package that doesn’t reflect your individual renovation needs and material selections our Project Developers take the time, at the beginning, to gain a full understanding of your renovation goals and needs. We then provide a personalized, and detailed, estimate that is easy to understand and with a price that we stand by.

And if you change your mind on the scope of work, as your renovation proceeds, we make certain you know the price impact of the change before we proceed. Nothing happens without your full understanding and digital signature via our online project management system.

Most clients have a vision of what they want (and don’t want) but it doesn’t hurt to have a professional help you solidify your plan. And if you are not sure of what you want it is great to have a professional to guide you through this process.

All our clients are provided with a personal Project Manager who helps them create a plan, oversees all the details, and answers any questions. The Project Manager will also arrange a consultation with our experienced designer (with the first 2 hours provided at no cost to you) who will take your vision and turn it in to a clear plan, with a detailed drawing, while providing suggestions based on their extensive experience of design materials and trends. This support helps our clients decide exactly what they want and ensures the renovation goes from an abstract idea to a clear and precise plan that you can picture and look forward to.

The design showroom allows you to make all of your material selections in one location (and we update your quote to document all of your product selections – which makes it easy to keep track). Once the final working plan is in place your Project Manager will coordinate all the details and schedule all of our tradespeople through our on-line system. Any work scope changes that you have requested will be shared via a change order update in our online management system (for your approval).

Our industry leading “Personalized Client Service Program” ensures all of our clients are fully informed at all times. For every renovation the client has a personal Project Manager who is their point of contact throughout the process. This makes it easy for you to ask questions and get answers quickly. But we like to think our process will leave you with very few questions because we believe in clear communication. Your Project Manager will provide you with a client questionnaire, and our Standard Operating Procedures, at your first meeting.  The information on the questionnaire gives the Project Manager the information they need to meet your goals and align expectations before the renovation begins.

We also manage all of our renovations through Builder Trend – a powerful online Project Management system for the construction industry that is used by over 650,000 users worldwide. This system synchronizes job scheduling, cost tracking, material selection approvals, and change order tracking to ensure the client, and all tradespeople, have all details at their fingertips. Need to know what day the plumber will be turning off your water? Trying to pick throw pillows but can’t remember what color you selected for your living room walls? Not at home and want to look at the designer’s drawings of your new kitchen? This, and more, is at your fingertips through your secure, and personal, on-line account.

We believe trust is everything. To help earn your trust, and ease your mind, we are listed with the Better Business Bureau, are members of Trusted Pros, and are Home Star verified (requiring acriminal background check, soft credit check, and accounts in good standing with CRA). We carry 5 million in liability insurance and all of our tradespeople have full Workers Compensation Benefits coverage. We stay in regular contact with our tradespeople and their safety is as important as the quality of their work.

We are bonded and therefore can provide a surety bond on all of our clients’ deposits (it is a little-known fact that this is a legal requirement for those taking renovation deposits).
